Assembling a quilt doesn't always mean the same thing. Creating visually appealing quilts is sometimes dictated by how the quilt is assembled. Simple traditional block patterns can become stunning when placed in certain combinations in rows either horizontal, vertical or diagonally. This book explores all the possibilities and gives fabulous examples of how to create that visual difference. Placement and block combinations are the keys to success when designing quilts. Technique sidebars included in this book are curved piecing, working with bias edges, paper piecing and trimming angled pieces.

Reviewed by Barbara Rhoades: This book contains patterns for ten different row quilts. The ideas are cute and range from simple patchwork to paper piecing. What a way to use up those border strips that come with some fabric or create your own. If you choose to do the paper piecing, the templates are included. I can even see using a row or two from one quilt to make up a whole new quilt. Or even combine rows from one quilt into those from another. Whatever you decide, there are plenty of designs to keep your fingers busy for many weeks.
