This handy measuring gauge created by Nancy Zieman of TV's Sewing with Nancy on PBS is an amazing 5 tools in one.
Nancy Zieman was a sewist and quilter and knew what problems to solve with her unique gauge. Shaped like the letter "T", this sliding ruler has marks at 1/4" intervals and 0 through 6 marked in both directions for easy measuring. The gauge is 6" long and 5/8" wide. When sewing clothing, 5/8" is a typical width of a seam allowance. Being 5/8" wide allows you to easily and quickly mark the seam allowance both on fabric while assembling and on patterns while altering and fitting. Easily mark even, straight hems and precise right angles.
This sliding ruler gauge will also mark buttonhole placements and widths with 1/8" increments. A light green background with clear black text makes the ruler easy to read.
Even use this gauge to mark perfect circles from 2" to 12" diameter. The sliding stop has a lock so it only slides when you want it to.Every sewist needs 1 of these by the sewing machine, 1 in the sewing kit, and 1 in the travel bag for going to classes! Get yours today!!
